The KEF may have better imaging and sound stage for music than the ELACS. A more neutral or bright speaker can be better to hear dialog in movies and TV. The ELACS are said to be a bit laid back and warm. It's all personal preference as to what sounds better to you and what sound quality aspect you are looking to improve. Nothing at this price point is going to be a night and day difference over the ELACS. Or the 3-way DCM tower options with the added midrange driver should in theory give you better midrange performance.
